Electric Blue

Blue blue, electric blue

That’s the color of my room, where I will live…

Growing up in Hawaii, I dreamed of a cool, blue room while languidly listening to David Bowie’s album Low on repeat. I listened and longed for sanguine, post-war Berlin, as the sun shone cheerily on outside my window.

Electric Blue was part of the exhibition “Textiles: A Group Show” in the gallery at the Ace Hotel Brooklyn.

Acrylic paint and polymer on canvas with brass ring, 2021
